During Council and committee hearings I recommended that we not only create criteria for applications, but that staff include social equity and diversity concerns in our criteria priorities. Staff did a good job drafting criteria for a review process, and Town Council voted on 9/17 to accept the 8/13/2019 Recommendations per our Committee on Economic Development and Planning, with the addition of “Evaluate the Commonwealth’s required Positive Impact Plan and Diversity Plan as to how it affects Watertown.”
